Scope and contents
Early papers relating to Clive McPherson and members of his family. Includes a group of official documents originally kept together in a black wallet, which is now housed separately in BOX 94. These documents consist of: a baptism extract for Francis Ann Matilda McPherson (1839), a confirmation extract for Alice Gertrude Mogg (Clive's McPherson's mother) (1876), a vaccination certificate for Clive McPherson (1884), a baptism certificate for Clive McPherson (1884), a letter from the Office of Government Statists confirming Clive McPherson's date of birth (1905), and a statutory declaration by William George McPherson (Clive McPherson's father) confirming Clive McPherson's date of birth (1900). Other documents included in this folder are a receipt of purchase of Tarramia, Mulwala, by Marion O. McPherson (Nov. 10th 1954); club memberships; a Sands and McDougall monthly diary for December 1903; stamps; newspaper clippings (1902 and undated); receipts for tailoring, travel and income tax (1903-1909); personal references for Clive McPherson (1899, 1903); insurance policy documents with the Australian Mutual Provident Society (1905); a reference from the Bank of Victoria Limited (1903); a memo from Clive McPherson's Preliminary Examination for The Bankers Institute of Australasia (1899); drawings; poems; and a letter from Clive McPherson to 'Beloved Brethren'.
