The Standing Committee for the Defence of Civil Rights was made up of representatives from a variety of community campaigns. The organisation co-ordinated support for people arrested on community actions and picket lines. At the time of writing, ca. late 1994/1995, the Committee included SAP, Friends of Richmond High School, Coalition Against Freeway Extensions, People's Justice Alliance and Student Unionism Network.
