Scope and contents
The Women at Work (WAW) broadsheet publications covered news relating to award wages, wage theft, equal pay, promotion opportunities, clean and safe conditions, childcare access and facilities, and family planning. These publications were made available in a number of languages. WAW was a group of union women that organised to improve conditions for working women, particularly in factories and workshops. WAW operated out of the Working Women's Centre in Hardware St, Melbourne.
