Scope and contents

This file includes thirteen original black and white photographs purchased from the Herald and the Canberra Times for their inclusion in Geike's unpublished manuscript on the History of the Women's Action Committee (WAC) and the Women's Liberation Movement (WL). The women depicted are Kath Gleeson, Alva Geike, Thelma Solomon, Zelda D'Aprano, Jo Phillips, Catherine Dwyer, and Barbara Wishart. There is also a photograph of a 1971 Women's Liberation poster that depicts the premier, Henry Bolte about eight months pregnant. There are also photocopied photographs of the key figures in the WAC : Bon Hull, Alva Geikie, Thelma Solomon, and Zelda D'Aprano.
