General note

Signed by Melbourne photographer Alice Mills. Inscribed on front by Helena Cass 'At time of marriage '16' and on back by Diana Cousens(?) 'Helena Cass 1916 in London for wedding.' The portrait appears to have been created on the same occasion as the portrait of Walter and Helena Cass at BOX 42/1. This suggests that it was actually taken in Melbourne in 1917.
