Biographical / Historical
Frank Wilson Chatham Dixon (1923-2013) was born in Sydney and his family moved to Melbourne when he was a child. His was interested in both architecture and engineering and was awarded dual qualifications from University of Melbourne. After initially working for Yuncken, Freeman Brothers, Griffiths and Simpson, he left the firm to establish his practice in 1950 and retired in 1985. During his career, Dixon either designed or was the consulting engineer for numerous, hospitals, commercial and residential buildings.
