Scope and contents
Consists of ancient silver stater coin of Alexander III of Macedon, better known as Alexander the Great, ca. 336-323 BC or later, with gold around edges, set as a pendant on a leather cord. A profile portrait in relief of Hercules with the headdress of a lion skin features on the front and on the reverse the seated figure of Zeus with legs side by side and arms raised. Coin is inscribed on reverse side on right in Greek: Alexandrou.
