General note

Ring probably Italian. Vali Myers refers to this ring and includes her drawing of what it will look like, in her diary (H2019.429, p. 3), entry for December 1967: New Things. A beautiful carnelian the colour of apricot jam. I'll have it set in gold like this. Photograph of Vali wearing this ring by James Lauritz is at H2019.51/161.
