Scope and contents
Shows the face of a woman with red swirling hair, below her is a green snake, and around her is the domed pavilion of Il Porto, tiny figures of dogs, a dog drinking from a waterfall, and sunflowers.
Described by Gianni Menichetti in 'Notes about Vali's drawings in this book', p. 11 (YMS 16336, Box 6/3): Inspired by 'Lamia' a long poem of Keats. Lamia is a Snake Woman killed by the words of the Philosopher.
