Letter from New York, trip to Australia was very successful, taught at the University of Queensland and gave seminars on Indonesian batik; saw both George Fairfax and Bill Wright in Sydney and George is committed to doing an installation of Catherine's collage and word/image works, George mentioned that the ABC would like to make a film on Catherine; Bill Wright didn't like Catherine's work; saw Francois in New York; sees Catherine as a role model; has a retrospective show in 2 weeks with about 60 paintings; hopes they can work together agin during the summer. 4p., 15 April, 1985
