Collection comprises papers of Robin Boyd's lectures 'The Boyer Lectures 1967'; several play scripts including T.V. series script, film script, and radio script, short stories; University of the Air 'Architectural' programmes; a memoir about Robin Boyd written by various peoples; petition regarding the Sydney Opera House with background to the dispute; magazines, journal, newspapers cuttings, various copies of "Smudges", published by the Architectural Students' Society of the R.V.I.A.; biographical information; a large collection of inward and outward correspondence; handwritten and typescript notes; a small collection of architectural photographs, and an audio cassette tape recording the talk "Architects in Australia" (about Robin Boyd) on ABC Broadcast.

Biographical / Historical
The architect Robin Gerard Penleigh Boyd was born in Melbourne in 1919, an architect, writer, teacher and social commentator. He is the author of The Australian Ugliness (1960) a critique on Australian architecture. He was awarded the Royal Australian Institute of Architects Gold Medal in 1969. He formed a partnership with Sir Roy Grounds (1905-1981) and Frederick Romberg, in Melbourne in 1953. The partnership was dissolved in 1963, but Romberg and Boyd continued as partners until Boyd's death in 1971.
