The collection holds a large number of diaries and "Dreams" journals of Jodie Brandsma, 1975-1992; letters and postcards from her friends, pen pals, and family, 1970's -1990's; Education records, certificates; papers and art works relating to her Arts, and Film Making Courses. Also, a collection of photographs, sketch and pattern books, notebooks, scrapbooks including a 1967 scrapbook, which shows her artistic skill from a very early age; and miscellaneous papers include press clippings, magazines, tourist's map and information relating to exhibitions, galleries, places of interest.

Biographical / Historical

Jodie Brandsma, artist and teacher, was born in 1965 and from a very young age kept detailed journals of her life, particularly documenting her teenage years, she died unexpectedly at the age of 27 in 1993.
