Biographical / Historical

Robert Jacks was an Australian artist, sculptor, and printmaker, who continues to be an important figure in Australian and contemporary international art, having pursued an interest in abstraction and minimalism. He studied, taught, lived, and exhibited internationally from the late 1950's onwards. Jacks was a prominent member of the Rubber Stamp Movement and a world-class collector of International Mail Art.
