General note

Untitled reminiscences in bound memorandum book (‘Analytical Index’). Not signed or dated, but in Fawkner’s hand throughout.

A number of pages have been cut from the earlier part of the book, some of which were used by Fawkner to write his account of the life of George Watts (see below). The remaining portion of the book was then paginated from 1 to 50, with the following error: 21, 23, 24, 22, 25. Fawkner evidently turned over two pages for one at this point, then retraced his steps. All in all he used the first 23 pages of this notebook. It deals with his own settlement at Port Phillip and attacks the treaty between John Batman and the local Aboriginal people.
