Untitled reminiscences
File — box-folder: 3661.2
General note
Three paperbound foolscap journals. In two hands, neither of them Fawkner’s: pp.1-36 and 41-90 in the one hand, pp37-40 in the other.
This is the same text as that which begins on p.1 of “Book no.2” (‘Yes, tis England scarce raising her head’ etc.). Anderson believes it to be the later version of the two and has noted the following divisions:
Volume 1: pp1-36, 1792 to early 1805.
Volume 2: pp.37-76, 1805 to 1812.
Volume 3: pp.77-90, 1813 to 1819.
Insertions have been made at pp.21, 29, 40, 58 (a printed page of part of the text), 77. Torn page: p.86.
