Received Barry's letter of 23 September in connection with the transfer of articles from the exhibition to the Smithsonian Institution.

Pleased with the offer of exchange. Delighted with the gift offered to the National Museum of the United States.

Duplicates of specimens in the National Museum will be sent to Melbourne. The Commissioner of Agriculture will send samples too.

The six boxes forwarded contain everything published in the USA in the past five years, and these will continue to be sent. (8 pages)
