Barry, Sir Redmond, Lismore, Ireland, to Henry Sheffield, 30 November, 1876
Dates
- 30 November, 1876
General note
Six cases of books being shipped, mainly collected by Barry. Three more cases bought with him, and three followed.
Asking him to convey the thanks of the Trustees to the donors, signed preferably by McArthur, because of their generosity the donors deserve more than an official receipt.
Disappointed about not having had any news about the library for three months. This is not unreasonable due to the trouble Barry has taken to get contributions for the library.
Has heard that his leave is to be extended for a year but desires instructions, money and information about what the committee wants.
The cold in Lismore affects his arm. In January will go to London and then to Spain to avoid the cold.
Hoping to get some news soon. (4 pages. Draft)
