Barry, James, 15 May, 1858
Item — box-folder: 601.1 (f)
Dates
- 15 May, 1858
General note
Glad to hear that the land question in Victoria is being settled. Too many young and able people leaving Ireland. Only "dolts and cripples" are left behind. Politics is "dirty". Peel's career destructive to monarchy and honesty. Too dangerous to think of placing India under the direct management of Parliament. Approves of Lord Ellenborough's resignation. (9 pages)
