Memorandum addressed to the Trustees of the Public Library, Melbourne, complaining of an employee, William Cleary, who has been in debt to them for groceries for two years. Includes an enclosed letter from Michael McGrath, 28 March 1870, stating that William Cleary had not paid for boots ordered and received; letter from Barry to Augustus Tulk, 2 November, 1870, insisting that Cleary's salary should be appropriated until debts are paid; memorandum from William Cleary to Augustus Tulk that future payments be made by himself. (1 page and 3 enclosures)
