Includes an enclosed letter from Michael McGrath, 28 March 1870, stating that William Cleary had not paid for boots ordered and received; letter from Barry to Augustus Tulk, 2 November, 1870, insisting that Cleary's salary should be appropriated until debts are paid; memorandum from William Cleary to Augustus Tulk that future payments be made by himself.
