The addressee's letter arrived. Barry regrets that there is an obstacle in the way of the request made on behalf of the Philosophical Society. An order made to the Commissioner of Lands and Works sent after seeing him. Barry can see no difficulty in entrusting the snake for a few hours to people who will not harm it. (3 pages. Draft)
