General note

Addressed, Carlton Gardens, Melbourne. Pleased to know that the addressee is publishing the poem composed for the Shakespeare Scholarship last year.

Has always refused to accept the dedication of a book as the independence of the modern writers tends to make compliments distasteful.

In this case, however, Barry accepts, as the author is to address him in Barry's official capacity, and as Barry was also impressed with his work. (3 pages. Draft. Incomplete)
