General note

Addressed, Menzies' Hotel, Melbourne. The committee in charge of the acquisition of enthological objects has asked Barry to correspond with Montefiore. His business has prevented him from attending to it sooner.

At present there is no money to buy such objects and Barry realises the increasing difficulty of obtaining them.

Deplores the apathy towards the arts. (3 pages)
