General note

Addressed, Melbourne Public Library. Waiting anxiously to hear something tangible about the purchase of works of art. Eight months since the last order to Guillaume adn books only being sent now. Alarmed at the rival libraries being set up in the country centres and the support given by the government.

Believes that if "our system" had had a good start, the library would have been able to set up branches in the country.

Guillaume and the books. Henry Moor and Mr. Wilson who have agreed to work together for the art committee.

The difficulty of classification and binding of the Patent Office records.

Wants a complete set of the Bible in all languages. Maps needed.

The loss of the Royal Charter. His mother at Clifton, and hopes that Childers might visit her. (4 pages. Typed)
