Martin, Arthur Patchett, Savage Club, London, to Hamilton Mckinnon, 1 May, 1884

Abstract
Hopes his article in Temple Bar will help the memorial volume to Clarke. Already Clarke and His Natural Life are almost forgotten. A writer nowadays must bring out a constant succession of publications to keep his name before the public. A cheap edition of His Natural Life not advisable at present. Lord Rosebery too involved in politics to understand details of publication. Believes that Henry Gyles Turner has always claimed he was founder and editor of the Melbourne Review, when in fact, Martin himself was. (4 pages)
