Abstract

Regarding a misunderstanding with Bentley's over a cheque to be remitted to Mrs. Clarke. Quotes Bentley's reply and details of publications of Marcus Clarke's works. Concern over a letter sent by Moncure Conway to the Glasgow Herald, stating that Clarke was a gambler and committed suicide. He attempts to correct these stories. (4 pages)
