Letter to the Chairman of the Library Committee of the Public Library of Victoria, 7 September, 1874

Resigning his sub-librarianship due to bankruptcy (his resignation was later allowed to be withdrawn). Diagonally across the head is “recd/Sep. 8 1874”. Included with this letter are Sir Redmond Barry’s draft and the memorandum notifying the Chief Librarian of the Trustees’ resolution requiring the above resignation, dated 9 and 14 January, 1874.
