Letter from Walter Cass to Helena Holmes, 1916 September 17

 Item — box-folder: YMS MS 15488 BOX 1/3

Dates

  • 1916 September 17

Note:

He mentions seeing 'B.' that day, possibly meaning Sir Julius Henry Bruche who was at that time attached to A.I.F. Headquarters. He speaks of urging B. of the necessity to 'get things moving' but that the General (possibly General Moore) 'was anxious to hold up the move until some date in Oct. as the King is coming down to see the troops.' Walter praises B.'s administrative skills.
