Note:

He is in France and has been in a rest home for a week due to rheumatism. His battalion 'was in a dickens of a fight last week' and nine officers are in hospital at Wandsworth Hospital, England. He asks Helena to visit them if possible. The officers he names are Major Homan, Captains Hanson and Jack, Lieutenants Tedder, Young, Hirst, Shaw, Morris and Sudbury. He says that his battalion was especially mentioned.
