Series VII: Legal Files., 1994 - 1999

Some legal documents were filed and maintained in the SAP Office during the years of intense activity. These documents were primarily selected papers relating to members who had been arrested and also papers relating to some miscellaneous activities. The papers were augmented in later years when files needing a home were identified as 'legal' and given storage space.

The provenance of some of these files is obscure. It is likely that some of the papers were maintained by Harry Ward and some documents created by other members. The file entitled 'Action on Ombudsman's Report' documents the action taken by I Spalding and others against Victoria Police. This was not an official SAP initiative.
