Subseries 5: Sponsors Lobby Group Papers., June, 1994 - March, 1996

SAP members lobbied to influence corporations to reject invitations to be named as sponsors for the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix and to contribute funds to the Grand Prix.

The Sponsors' Group/Sponsors' Lobby Group operated from ca. October, 1994, generating constant correspondence to possible or confirmed sponsors suggesting adverse outcomes for any local business or corporate body which allowed their name to be associated with the race. The 'Boycott Bulletin' (8 issues in total), was heavily promoted to members who were writing letters to dissuade business from supporting the race, or members who were engaging in personal boycott activities.

This set of papers was deposited by Paul St. John and include correspondence and details of the financial and social impact on the businesses being targeted.
