Subseries 1: Council Papers., 1994 - 2004

These papers include Council Minutes, some Agenda and financial papers.

Included in this Series and in the first volume is a document headed 'Save Albert Park Committee', with the notation 'Meeting of Members, 7 June, 1994, 7.30pm, South Melbourne Town Hall, Proposed Agenda'. A hand-written note attached to this document may be a record of decisions made; also a copy of handwritten Minutes headed 'Save Albert Park Committee Meeting No. 1', held in the Albert Park Library Meeting Room, 24 February, 1994.

The initial entry in the first volume is the Agenda and Minutes dated 11 August, 1994, which have been pasted into the book and represented a combined meeting of Council and Executive.

The papers were collected into bound volumes until July, 1998. From then, some overlap of dates may occur as the papers were held by individual members of Council, including Robin Joyce, who acted as the Administrator/Secretary for many years. Some related papers are attached.

Council papers can also be found in the documents maintained by most of the Convenors/Presidents and by some other active members. Therefore, on occasions there may be duplications of material in this Series and Series I, Member's Files.

In July, 2009, some more Council papers were added to SAP's archives prior to donating the papers to the State Library of Victoria. These were Minutes and Agenda, February - August, 2000, which were added to the papers for that date range; Monthly budget reports and correspondence for the period December, 1999 - June, 2000. These papers have all been added to the Council Papers in this series. With regard to the correspondence contained in this series, some items may duplicate letters held in member's files in Series I.
