 Sub-series

Dates

  • 1994 - 1996

Biographical / Historical

Peter Cronin was an active organiser from the beginning of the campaign, whose ideas for positive publicity and successful fund-raising activities, designed to advance the cause of the campaign, were in the words of SAP "...embraced with enthusiasm". Many of the actions in the first two years were initiated by Peter. From April to August, 1994, Peter was the convenor of the Publicity Committee. In August, 1994, a significant expansion of the Committee structure took place.

Arrangement

Prior to the donation of the collection, SAP committee members sorted and identified the papers. They have been divided into 2 broad subjects:

A....Actions/Rallies/Fund-raising and Policy B... Parklands Code development with other environmental groups.

According to the committee members who sorted and listed the collection, the few papers in section B indicate that Peter probably passed the papers on to another member. Dates are often missing, but most papers are thought to have been created during the first two years of the Campaign.
