SAP organised protests during the destruction of the trees and parkland, the digging of foundations for buildings and the race-track, and the erection of the permanent infrastructure needed for F1 racing. Later protests were aimed at official promotional activities. Most records were hand-written by Harry Ward during the protests. Some summaries have been completed, usually by un-named participants, giving details of multiple actions from different perspectives.
