Includes letter N.P., 17 Sept. 1975, from Sydney, concerning the visit to Coleambally and doubts Vietnamese families are now having as to housing and funds to use equipment similar to that seen in farms in the district; changed attitudes to farming among Vietnamese who have lived in the hostel on unemployment benefits, suggesting that opportunity might be provided to some of the poor people still in Guam - asks for Paul’s opinion. Meanwhile proposals will be framed for the Minister. I.C.M.C. Hughes, St. Michael’s Refugee Settlement Committee, Deniliquin, Nov. 1981; copies of letters etc., 1975, group with label “Migrants”, Secretary, Department of Labor & Immigration, Canberra, to Mrs. Schoeffer concerning sister and family’s entry to Australia from India (not approved because of the current employment situation in Australia).
