[Found loose and inserted here] Memorandum, 1951, Copy No.51, submitted to the Hierarchy [by B.A.S.] In one sense a personal document, it represents a consensus of views: Australia’s Greatest Crisis; Conditions of Survival; The Remedy (the interposition in voluntary organizations of an educated and disciplined body of men and women pledged to place the common good before sectional interests and who will work to guide the policies of the public voluntary organisations of which they are members along these lines); “the Nature of the Organisation” needed; “The Next Development of the Social Studies Movement”, “The Launching of the Civic Committees; “A Special Mission to the Parishes”, The Responsibilities of Individual Members” and “Propaganda”.
