Double-column playbill for benefit performance at the Princess' Theatre, Melbourne, 5 September 1901, in aid of the Old Colonists' Home and the Dramatic Musical Association. Playbill contains details of these institutions also programme for the performance which consisted of The Highland Legacy (W F Hawtrey's Company), Not Such a Fool as He Looks (Coppin Combination Company), and Why Smith Left Home (Charles Arnold's Company).

Biographical / Historical

George Coppin made what was almost certainly his last stage appearance as Mould in Not such a Fool as He Looks. He was then aged 82 and according to The Argus newspaper, he played the part to perfection. Daisy Coppin was also in the cast. (Refs in The Argus 5 Sep 1901, 6 Sep 1901 p.6).
