Scope and contents
Playbill for Coppin's productions at Queen's Theatre Royal, Melbourne, advertising performances on Saturday 27 September 1845. Performers include Mr and Mrs Coppin, Mr Rogers, Mr Thompson, Mr Cameron, Mr Opie and Mr Nesbitt. This production also includes a new set scene occupying the full extent of the stage, showing a view of King's Island and the wreck of the Cataraqui, painted by Mr Opie from a sketch taken on the spot.

This playbill is from a series printed by J P Fawkner's Patriot Office for Coppin's second season at Queen's Theatre Royal, Melbourne. This second season was Coppin's first venture on the mainland as lessee, actor-manager and producer.
