Physical description

This small playbill is accompanied by a note: "New Conundrum. Why shouldn't the Theatre be full on Wednesday Evening? Eh! D'ye give it up?" The answer to this is annotated on support board (now discarded), in the hand of a former librarian: The answer, given by Master George Coppin, was:- "Because the theatre doesn't open on Wednesday".
