Physical description
Double-sided playbill; Two copies held. Note accompanying playbill: The Dog of Monargis. N. Shields Jan 2 1828. My father had a favorite dog called Mozzy that would carry anything you gave him and seize no matter what, covered with red. When he had to ring the bell he was let loose to rush at the Bell rope to the part of which was covered with red. When he had to seize the Murderer, the Ruffian would display a red band round his neck and the dog was at him in a moment. Wonderful dog.
