Scope and contents
Jenkins begins the year at Porcupine Flat, near Maldon. He works on the farms of William David and William Mathews. From late February to the end of the year, he works for John Lewis on his farm at West Ravenswood. Jenkins selects some land at Ravenswood, builds his own hut named Ant's Mole and moves there in September.
