The first 2 notes are in English. The rest of the notes are written in a language other than English, possibly a native language of Vanuatu. Possibly Lenakel/Netwar/Nevaar, the native language of the people who lived in Lenakel in the West part of the island of Tanna, where the Patons lived during their missionary work in the New Hebrides (now Vanuatu).
